Ashley Court Writer’s Society Day of Writing – March 26th
New for 2025, Ashley Court Writers’ Society invites you to immerse yourself in a wonderful Regency-era house and its grounds for dedicated time to write, enjoy lunch and mix with other writers.
Arriving at 9.50am with a prompt 10am start, we begin with a brief meet-and-greet and optional warm-up. We then branch off for independent, quiet writing time in a variety of period-decorated rooms. Tea and coffee will be served during the morning, and at 1pm we break for a wholesome vegan lunch of soup (made with locally sourced ingredients) and fresh bread. The day comes to a gentle close around 4pm.
With curios and antique objects thoughtfully curated, experiences to fuel the imagination await you. Discover new inspiration and develop your craft or project in a unique, historical setting.
Come equipped for your method of writing, whether with pen and paper or electronic device. Emergency pens and paper will be available, as well as a limited number of power points.

Directions: Turn into Ashley from the A396. Then turn immediately left, and our driveway entrance is ahead of you slightly to the left, in-between 2 stone pillars. The house is about 200 meters up the drive. Parking is indicated half way up the drive way. Or you can park before the entrance gates and have a nice walk up. The snowdrops are out.
